Yeah she just didn’t have anything fun to fling on this plate. See that door in then background? I’ve wiped banana off of it in the past. From where she’s sitting now. [emoji23]

I do frequently see parrotlets referred to as "Amazon's little cousin." And she was just dangling there - not trying to get anywhere else, the little nut case!

Bumble and I are about to embark on our biggest adventure yet. Today is my last day at my job of 28 years (not retiring - keep reading).

This Sunday I'll be moving out of my apartment (Bumble's only home so far).

Next week I'm taking a 9 day trip to Iceland - Bum will stay with my BFF who has lots of parrots. She's stayed there in the past when I can't take her with me - it's a bird safe home, she feels comfortable, gets lots of love and attention. The African Gray has a crush on her and is always happy to have her around.

Then when I return, Bummy and I will hop in my little red car and drive from Seattle to Fairfax, VA where we will move in with my sister temporarily. You might remember that Bum and I have spent a couple of vacations there and the whole family loves having her and really goes the extra mile to make the home safe for her, and she's also perfectly comfortable there.

My new job in Washington, DC starts on July 12, so hopefully in September/October Bum and I will move into our own place in our new life!

I've been so overwhelmed with sorting and packing and goodbye-ing that I forgot until today I need to be telling Bum the plans, so we went over it this morning and will keep doing that until I leave on my trip.

Inger...I have a high school sweetheart who lives in Iceland now...she's been there for 20 years or more. Loves it there..I know you'll enjoy it also. Safe trip my dear friend!
