I'm sorry to learn of these events. I've been out of town and not keeping up with the forum. I really didn't expect this and kind of angered i couldn't do more to help. It seems kind of needless in a 5 yr old bird. I feel for your MIL and hope this helps a few other parrot owners to pay more attention to their birds diet,. Fresh veggies and vit A rich foods. Such a shame.

I have never heard of that happening...and it's just awful! I wonder if there are any remedies for resolving the plaque before it becomes a crisis...I definitely want to learn more about this...
