Stumbled into the middle of this old movie on tv today. Nearly the first scene caught my eye. They were having outdoor breakfast in a hotel, and there were a scarlet macaw and a hyacinth macaw on stands. Yeh, you would expect that in Rio de Janeiro. The next shot showed a citron cockatoo on the patio!

So much for accuracy in movies. Sure, they could have a too in Rio, but what's the likelihood?

I recorded the movie, and may watch the whole thing, if I can stand it.

hahaha i have noticed old movies do that all the time! putting tigers and giraffes and gorillas and peacocks, cockies and macaws all in the one scene to look as exotic as possible. XD
cant blame them though, theres nothing wrong with giving people the opportunity to see them, and given there wasn't pictures all over the internet then either ^-^
