Its fledging time!
My tiel babies are fledging right now, learning to fly. They are also trying EVERYTHING they can think of, new food, new games, etc :) my two pied babies are SUCH cuddlers, preferring to snuggle humans at all times, unless of course they are flying, which is their favorite thing! Both pied babies can now hover, redirect, avoid obsticles, fly down, aim properly, and completely change course mid air. The Lutino and albino are still working on straight flights and are not running into things *quite* as often...

They are also great preeners, they are stepping up like champs, and are just a true joy to have around. This is my favorite stage! Right now Tweety and Sylvester, the pieds, are hanging in out with me as I type :) the camera on my iPad isnt very good, but I just had to share this face!

What a gorgeous birdie i love his cheeks and that cheeky look he has lol
One of my lovies still has trouble with her landings and sometimes undershoots and hits things then falls to the floor i know i shouldnt laugh but it is rather funny most of the time she runs along the floor like she never droppd and gives me this look as if to say "you never saw nothing here no move along" lolol (theres nothing sharp or anything that can hurt her when she drops)

Lol minxy that sounds cute! A lot of adult birds have a hard time with the finer points of flying and landing, which is why I am SOOOOOOO strict with my babies being fully fledged before they go home.

Wendy, I am having a BLAST!

Yea minxy is my lil fluff ball cat who seems to think my lovies are her toys so shes always lockd out when they have their exercise wich leads to meowing down the house and clawing the door to shreds lol.. never had baby chicks but they look so adorable it must to fun to have them and their lil squawks as they fly over your head lol

Oh Dani! What a little beauty, and such a sweet face. It must be fun watching the little ones gain control of their wings and learn the finer points of flight.

It truly is!

Dani, Fiji is currently sitting on her 2nd clutch of 3 eggs. Hearing about your adorable babies is not making it any easier! :20: I "de-activated" :54: the first 2 eggs, but not the 3rd one yet. I'm getting baby bird fever!!!!

Lol it's hard, but if you want I can post about the 6 baby green cheeks that died recently? Or the two baby cockatiels?

awwwww, that's ok! But thanks for the reality check ;) Enjoy those babies, they grow up way too fast!
