Bird Harness Question

Now I'm leaning towards a pink one!
Wharfrat, great picture! Does the shirt say, "Give blood, own a macaw"?
I'm not sure what the difference is between the Aviator and the Kaylor? They look pretty similar.

no, a sticker on my van does though shirt has "tease" in place of "own"

Anybody have any thoughts of the FlightSuit , the one that supposed to catch their poop ?

They make them big enough for Stella?? I didn't realize they went up that big.

Yeah , would you believe it !! lolol. I haven't tried it on to see if it actually fits my Stelly I even forgot what color it is , lolol.
The blue one I had to cut off Baby was most likely one that would fit a AG.
Not sure though , but I know I have a couple more , I have to go through my inventory , lolol. I had someone give me one as a gift , then I thought it might not fit , i ordered more , lolol.
I haven't looked at them in a while.

If the ones I have don't fit and they are the right size , I would gladly send it to you if your interested. I understand about spreading contaminants but if there is a way of cleaning them well enough I would certainly do that.
Just figuring Im stuck with it and if someone else would want it , its free.
Ill pop it in the mail as soon as I clean it and its dry.
Lets just keep it in the States though , lololol.

Portaperch, considering that this is a thread about harnesses and from your pic you don't use one, I'm a little confused. Even a clipped bird can fly in a stiff wind (I know for a fact). And why would I leave a leash on one except outside? I have absolutely no problem with people that "freefly" their birds but this IS a harness thread. My apologies, but I don't see where your comments are warranted in this case. JMO

Of course . Depending on her mood at the time , it could be later or years from now , lolol.
I don't push her , You need to take your time with these things
I wish there was something quicker and just as safe for the really big birds.
Baby is hysterical when I put his on , I tell him we're going by bys
And he seems to connect it with me taking him immediately outside after putting it on. So I did something right there ! Yay for me
As long as I let him rest his head on my shoulder or cuddle him, he turns to mush so I guess that makes things much easier . lololol

My mind was going beyond what I wrote, sorry. I believe most harnesses are used for flighted birds. Flighted birds often escape from the home, where they aren't tethered, of course, so the tether is effective only part of the time.

No, we don't use tethers, and we have them trimmed about every six weeks. It takes only a couple of new flight feathers to make a difference. We would never take them out in a stiff breeze, either, so see no need for a tether.

Bottom line, a tether is only a part-time solution.

You need like a photo hosting site like photobucket or something. What I do is upload them to my album here and click on that picture and use that url.
