Well it's been getting expensive lately keeping up with the demand for toys..
I usually make my own with scrap 2x4 but that entertains them for a few minutes and creates a huge mess..

I would like to start buying my toys on the Internet.. Can anyone recomend a place to buy from that has nice safe toys that are not going to send me to the poor house

Thanks in advance

Where are you from? If we have a location we will be better able to advise. My experience has been that the shipping is the most expensive part!

well id like to add ester graham the lady i gave the website to does free shipping in orders over 49.00 dollars throughout all of the united states so if you are in the united states then good, but if not then i cant help you to much :s.

Also consider the type of material their made of .My Macaw lately seems to be entertained with bells and chains [that lasts longer].Go to your local bird fair .I just went to mine and stocked up [much cheaper].This guy makes toys at mine and are HUGE .In a store they would be at least 50 dollars.I paid at most 17 .This guy must have alot of scrap wood to be able to do this so cheap.

I like buying toys from my safe bird store. They carry a lot of different types, my favorite being planet pleasure.

My Safe Birdstore is great if you are in the US. I liked my order, but the prices are pretty much the same as pet stores here but the shipping is really expensive in Canada. It also took over a month to come! In Canada I would suggest Parrot Trends, they are really cheap and they just got started. They add more toys all the time and they give discounts to rescues.

I have been looking for bird shows even bird stores.. Closest bird store is about an hr away..as for the fairs.. Closest is 2 hrs away...

Greenwing have you checked out ester at all? The website I posted she has some great deals. Some of her toys are more expensive but she has some great large toys for like 7 to 16 dollars and they last my woodchucks like a month to chew up.

When i order toys I normally get them from Drsfosterandsmith.com but the only thing with them as that you really have to watch the toy size some things i have ordered were not amazon size, so i don't use their little guide anymore. I also like mysafebirdstore.com and once in a while bird.com has toy sales so cheap i got some huge toys that were about 8.00. If you go to windy city parrot they have a list of toys you can make.

Here's another one of my favorite toy makers she is a little more expensive, but has great toys that last long

The Leather Elves, Robin Shewokis, Exceptional Bird Toys for Exceptional Parrots, Exceptional Bird Toys for Exceptional Parrots

And another... Although I haven't ordered from her for sometime now: http://www.motherpluckinbirdtoys.com/

This place is great if it's on sale as well you get free shipping when you spend $100, I bought a big java hanging play stand from them for my macaws and they love it. This place also supports resues with there coalition Lancaster cares our rescue is apart of it here's the website:http://www.thatpetplace.com/?utm_so...=12923944604&gclid=CN6jurGYh7YCFeRlOgodZEcAlg

Jt.. Great site.. I have a concern.. The chain she uses on the bigger toys seem small.. Like the parrots might get a nail or tip of beak stuck in one... Had that happen once a while back and it scared me more than the bird..

Well I can say that the chain is of big enough diameter, from personal expirence of course:p. it is all about quarter inch chan I believe I can go look at some of my toys hanging from her and see if you'd really like to know:p just tell me the toy and I'll let you know what size chain if I have it.
