Thank you for posting Aratingetter.
Aratingetter is banned Because, get this, we had an xray that idiots wired up to just beep when it rejected and not keep a constant alarm till a reset button was pushed. QUality assurance didn't like this and wanted it to be like it was before (lots of other people messed with it).
I tasked a junior electrical tech (older than me) to latch the klaxon relay but not the kickoff relay, so it would cycle with each pulse but the klaxon would stay on till cleared.
I drew him a quick print replace the NO button contact some idiot added with a NC button contact. The relay is double pole double throw so I was like just use the other pole to latch the klaxon relay when it's triggered by the I/O.
This took 3 hours....when he did it he was like ok it stays on but the pusher stays out... I'm like oh it's the same trigger, (look in toolbox, grabs a simple diode), here use this..."whats a resistor going to do?" "um it's a diode"..."um is it, ok"
So I had to make another drawing of how to not make the klaxon relay latch effect the other kickoff relay. Finally the cleaning crew is going to come in. I said ok, stop.... wired in the diode to block the latching 24volts to only the klaxon relay, ran the wires to the NC button. about say 8 minutes... he spent about 5 hours thinking about it...even with the schematics I drew him. it was two wires to the button and a jumper to the other pole of the relay.
So I'm kinda pissed. I could have given clark my conure the print an by shear coincidence he could latch a relay with a diode to prevent the feedback in less time than this guy.
So anyways he's on notice with a performance improvement plan. The funny thing is he's had more schooling on paper than me.
Goes to show you how just getting you butt kicked is much better than school sometimes.
So anyways...Aratingetter is banned for me having to be an ass to an older but "know nothing" junior Electrical tech.
