43 days...... I'm anxiety. How are you?

I just want to meet her already. I've almost drove the 6 miles just for that. >A< :green2:

I'm sure it will be fine. You know what you are doing. Make sure to post tons of pictures (I'm sure you're already planning on it :D), but she is already beautiful.

New photos

//throws arms in the air and wiggles them about//
Current in the care of the 20 year old daughter of my feeder as she is helping her son with head surgery. Poor child had a seizure! Apparently this is NORMAL as they heal from surgery. What. No. Seizures are not normal! D:

Still, she was nice enough to send me some pictures of my girl and her parrotlet companions.

She's starting to look like an actual macaw now! I'm so excited. I found a REALLY nice vet that's just a few minutes from home, an emergency clinic, and all kinds of stuff. I'm nesting :p

Whatever happened to names like "Jack" and "Jill"? or "Jane" and John"?? lol :p  :D J/K!!!

They grow up so quickly! What a pretty girl you have there!

the most "normal" name I'm considering is "Gumi"
Carry on my long tradition of giving things an -e- sound at the end of a name. Even my sister and I have it in our nicknames.
Schatzi, Gypsy, Rocky, Lottie, Evie, Sweetie, Sally, Catty, Honey, Loki, Sammy, Blondie, Fishy.... the list goes on.

In fact, now that I think about it, the few animals without the e sound (Abigail, Gidget, and Oblivion) have all been awful pets or died of incurable disease....

Granted I find myself calling Chasca "Chassie" or "Chas" in my head a lot.

She looks much like a real bird now.
Only 2-3 more weeks and she should be coming home!

The lady is the breeders daughter who watched my baby while mom was in the hospital with her brother.

She's been flying lately! She apparently enjoys doing circles and go in reverse. Also may have an ear nipping problem xD

Most recent update:

She is now refusing formula and will be ready to go by the 12 :)

THE COUNTDOWN HAS BEGUN

Currently working with the feeder for pickup and final payment. :D happy happy

I don't know if you have settled in Chasca, but thought of Hahnna when looking at Hahnzels thread :) Don't know if you can use it, but now I have it out of my head :) Looking forward to see your pictures of you with your baby on your arm :)

Supposedly she's already trying to talk. She can kinda say "Hello" and the name of the feeder's daughter that has been watching over her. (The lady in the videos)

Chasca (Chassie), Gumi, and Ixi are my current choices. But I'll let her decide in the end. :D
