Hi have a rescue scarlet macaw he's 18 I got him at a year and a half. I just got Charlie the B&G what a difference. My scarlet Sebastian loves to pinch he thinks it funny...yes he laughs at me. But Charlie wow she (not sure gender) is a love bug. Loves to cuddle and give kisses. Sebastian will sometimes. Charlie was severely abused so I'm amazed at her wanting to be held. They never gave her toys so she is really having fun with them...she will fall asleep holding them. I noticed she makes a snorting like sound when I rub her heard...Im guessing its a content sound I hope. I'm learning what I can about B&G glad I found this board :)

They are beautiful!! And yes Scarlets are notorious for pinching. I'm sure your B&G is so happy that you came into her life!! :)

Thanks Charlie amazes me trusting me so quickly after all she's been through.

I love my B&G. She is a love bug and will spend many hours snuggling. I hope you have many happy years together. :)

Re: B&G and Scarlet

I am very, very sorry, I found myself crying a bit over the photo of Charlie holding on to his toys. You gave him the only love he knew in his life, you need to cherish that. I mean this, I know you care for your animals, I just thought you needed to heed some advice from other people, as while I know you didn't want your dogs to be injured, you also didn't take it seriously at all.

In spite of all of that, I can assure you that no one here wanted you to experience this. Please believe that.
