Apartment birds

People who live in town and have big noisy birds (say a macaw or cockatoo), do you ever get noise complaints from neighbors? I mean those birds can scream, and the houses are pretty close...

I was just thinking maybe I'll room with someone in a house who doesn't mind the bird. But neighbors could still be a problem. What do you think?

My neighbors says they don't hear it inside their house, but they do hear it while they're outside....
