Almonds Fat Contact

Hello
I am using raw almonds as treats / training for Moses , my buddy,

and DAV service companion. I wish to use almonds for treat and training.
?Can anyone advise exactly what kind of almonds are to be used (i am using raw almonds found on amazon shopping)?
Also is there a better nut or treat with low fat content.

I haven't found anything besides raw almonds that work for motivating our Eclectus to train. I tried safflower seeds and a number of other seeds at my vet's recommendation, but our boy was not willing to work for them. So, I divide down the almonds into the slivers with a razor blade, getting 6 pieces or so out of one almond. I get organic almonds from our local "healthy" grocery store.
