I have one Sun Conure named Popsicle
Well I'm taking Popsicle to the vet at 8:30 in the morning. It's his first visit. I'm gonna have his toenails trimmed because he is getting hung on on everything. So, I figured that he needs a check up anyways I'll let the vet show me how to trim the toenails and wings while i'm there. And manybe she can tell me if Popsicle is a he or a she.

I'm hoping Popsicle isn't gonna get mad at me and regress again. Because he is now putting his feet on my hand in the cage, the last time he did this I moved the cage and he stopped. So I'm not sure if i'm doing the right thing or not in taking him now but I don't want him getting hurt either with getting caught in something.

So, I guess my question is, should I take him or not. Being that he is starting to trust me a little more now. I hate to blow it again.

Thanks,

For Rosie's first vet visit I took her out in her carrier a few times as a dry run so to speak. After she was used to riding in the car and carrier I took her to the vet and she did fine. All birds need an annual vet checkup and in between for any concerns. I visit for grooming now to be sure it is done correctly.

SB is correct every bird should be taken for an annual checkup etc. ;)
Go on a few practice runs, as SB suggested, even a short trip to the shops.
Good luck
