hello everyone i got email today from http://www.hyacinthmacawaviary.com/Available_Birds.html and would like to share it with you guys

Hello Ali,

Your friends in the USA have been misinformed. If you pull up the CITES website and look for the register of captive breeding operations under The United States of America, you will see that we are registered with CITES, #A-US-524, which enables us to export our Hyacinth Macaws. We are the only facility in the world with that status and are currently exporting some offspring, which we have a very limited supply of. There may be a few countries that have stricter guidelines than CITES and do not allow any imports into their countries, but I only know of 2, Australia and New Zealand. Please inform your friends so they will have accurate information.

Thank you!

Sincerely,
Joe

Captive bred Hys are readily available in the USA.

This would be in regards to exporting Hy's OUT of the US. Having talked to a couple of breeders, if that ESA law that it out there in the wings would become effective, some breeders plan to sell the birds and ship them outside of the country.
