I am so sorry your lovebird has passed. You tried hard and did what was possible under the circumstances.

I hope this experience becomes a "teachable moment" for the school to use greater care with vulnerable animals.

His legs were strange so he would probably never learn to sit on stuff(one of them were either straight out to the side and "turned" the wrong way or both his feet would be as a triangle) so it was probably the best for him, a bird that can't sit up on stuff probably wouldn't be very happy.. He would always have been stuck to the ground
