With great luck, I have never had to deal with Parrot based yeast infection.

Saw your earlier Thread regarding non-digested seed (food pieces) in poop. This can occur in wild Birds when dumping weight when attacked and they dump near everything in their digestive track. But, have not seen this reaction in Companion Parrots.

The point that their system is based on attack waste dumping -- if needed. Illness could result in a like reaction. But, illness should trace evermore like diarrhea.

If you haven't, shift this to an emergence visit to your Avian Professional.

We are in a yeast-like infection episode now. Does the undigested food smell sour? Ours don't have undigested food in the poo, but they show up in vomits. Seeds are not easy to digest, so they come out whole.

However, it can be a lot of things, so I would suggest a vet appointment.

I haven't smelt it, but before he was much worse he was staying in one place all day not eating or drinking I though he wouldn't make it. But then I gave ACV in his drinking water for 4 days at a ratio of 15ml ACV to 1 litre water and he hasn't done sick since the only problem that remains is the pieces in his poop I'm giving probiotics i hope this helps him.

I'm guessing that you have limited access to Avian Medical Care in your area? I state this because the EU and North American members will commonly lead you to your local Avian Medial Professional.

When requesting medical comment, it helps greatly to provide a region of this huge World in which you live. This allows the responder to better tailor their response to your region.

He's in a small village in Pakistan-- closest vet is 5 hours away and very expensive.

I know he would seriously appreciate any input from anyone else---obviously it's a tough situation, so if you guys have any thoughts...He said that she does seem to be getting better and that all of this seemed to start when he started given mango daily (no skins, no pits). The high sugar content and the fact that the bird has seemed to improve since ACV and probiotic is what makes him believe it could possibly be yeast and he was hoping for help on determining how to dose the ACV, even though he knows there is a lot of risk to doing this without a vet's input.

She's getting much better I am not noticing the pieces of seed in the poop that much it was a lot more before today I only found a poop with 2 pieces other than that no other poop has pieces.

Okay she's been better but occasionally still has pieces in poop only when I squish inbetween paper otherwise is fine. I'm confused

It's hard to say-- I mean, like I said before, there are other diseases that can cause that as well, but it's possible she isn't fully over whatever she had...or maybe there is more than one thing happening at the same time.

Glad she is doing better though!

I would spend money on the vets but they dont really do birds mainly goats cows and the closeted to birds are poultry.

Understandable- honestly, if they don't do birds and specialize in livestock-- in all likelihood, the only thing they might be able to do is give an antibiotic or something (but without testing, it's hard to say whether this is a virus, yeast, bacteria, parasite etc)...then again, I could be wrong about what they could do at that vet- but I have a feeling it isn't much. You could always call and see if they have dealt with parrots at all in the past.

The fact that the chunks are decreasing means that you seem to be doing something right. I would continue whatever it is you have been doing, unless there is a risk of it being excessive (?)

I know most probiotics are fine daily--so if you think they are working, I wouldn't stop them just yet.
