I tend to call all my birds she, even when it is obvious (color of cere) that Merry is not. Oh well... he has made it 16 years in a gender blurred status so all is basically well. I think it is nice that you won't have to worry about eggs and associated risks. And lots of baby boys go through that cute as a girl stage. My only problem is that we will have to be clear when communicating which Misha is which. Yours is the one with common sense, right?

I want to DNA Russell out of curiosity but I'm afraid that he will be a she and then I will be upset because I initially wanted a girl so I could name her Annie after my Gramma but Russell's Sister was NOT having any part of me and it was Russell who came directly to me and cuddled so he chose me! I was going to name him Annie anyway but I got criticism from all around so I chose Russell Peters after my favorite comedian for his name.

Ant, remember when I first joined and you told me my little Maui and Mishka almost looked like twins??? A-HA!! They are BOTH boys!!!! Maui is super excited that Mishka is boy, he kept saying he wished Mishka was a BOY, because GIRLS don't like to SPAR like BOYS do and GIRLS are still Yucky to Maui, too young to like the girls still!!! Even though he ALWAYS liked Mishka as a girl, he likes him more as a boy!!

its strange cos ever since the vet said beau is most likely a girl she's been acting differently too. i've been calling her HER and SHE and GIRL and theres been no more chewing furniture and climbing the curtains. she's been really quiet and really really well behaved.... more ladylike!! weird x
