I have the same trouble with my conures. Maybe we should learn to study and do homework away from the birds.

That's what happens to me when I try to study. I end up distracted by how cute they're being and record it instead of doing my work.

I would also like to add that I turned on my laptop to do some research for my 20 page historiography (it's an oh so entertaining topic... not.) paper and instead got distracted on this forum. Thank you for being an entertaining distraction. This counts as education, right? I'm learning things about birds

Well, I suspect if you let them chew up the paper and pencils, they won't hate studying, lol! Now, when I was grading papers, I had to try not to let them eat my student's tests.

Oh dear, you may have just opened up a can of worms with that comment. I'm horrible at math, and somehow I've managed to overlap two different math classes for the next two weeks. I'm going crazy! Thank you for the offer, I'm sure I'll have to take you up on it pretty soon!

It's not just the birds who hate studying.

I never heard of a dusky until I got a phone call from the lady who runs a bird adoption for the south jersey bird club. She asked if I would be interested in adopting a dusky conure and I just sat silent and stupid on the other end of the phone. She described them as being a bit smaller than a sun (she knew I had a sun at the time) and a little quieter than a sun. I told her yes, I'd adopt the dusky (I didn't care if the bird was ugly, I was looking for a friend for my sun) and when I googled dusky conure I was surprised at how pretty they are. Not very colorful like my sun but still beautiful. Annnnnnd it's been over a year now and I adore my little Kayak burd and she loves me but doesn't love studying and is banned from coming out when its study/homework time.
