Which conure is most popular?

Obviously this may be a matter of opinion, but I was just wondering if anyone would have a guess on which species of conure gets adopted most often.

I hear more about green cheeks than any other. Suns are popular too but they seem to get rehomed often :c

In general? Most adopted / purchased? I would vote for green cheeks, they are so popular and commonly found in almost every petstore all the time.

For dedication and people who love them and would have a particular type of conure for the rest of their lives, I'd say sun....

I would be hard pressed to cast a vote for true favorite. Green cheeks will always have a very special place in my heart, but I beyond adore Victoria's Loki... so tough call!!!

Just from my short time on the forum, I probably would have guessed that too. I'm PLANNING to adopt a green cheek tomorrow, but the place where we are going has a large selection of conures including suns so I'm afraid I may be swayed. I originally fell in love with a sun at a Petco about a year ago. Put my research in and for selfish reasons (the noise factor) decided on a green cheek. But the suns are so pretty!!

I'd say GCC with a fairly close second for the Suns. So far I'm very lucky with my Sun. I don't find her overly vocal. When she squawks, it's loud I guess but really it isn't near what I expected. I bet the size of the house makes a difference. Ours is not huge (2400 sq ft) but big enough that the rooms are not tiny. I bet if I kept Mangie in a smaller room she may change my mind on her noise level. Lol.

Its so hard to go by what you read. I was picking my conure out of cheeks and suns too. I ended up with the sun [im waiting for her to be loud ]. Its been 3 yrs [she has a whispery voice ] . She says 'Gingee '" and "stop it "
