Finding the right stop, that you like and your parrot likes.
That's the main thing putting it where your parrot feels comfortable.
Look at the ceiling if a vent is blowing on the spot. You can get a vent block which re directs the air flow away from the area. Next lighting is there enough light on the cage. Parrots eat during the day more light during the day the better. I have an 8' floresent light on the ceiling.
I put my cages in the livingroom that way if I am working on something or just reading, watching TV. They are right there if they can't come out. I have to rotate from dog to parrot time out.
