What kind of Eclectus do you have

Hello all,

I have adopted my eclectus about a month ago, and have been researching the species in a whole. I Just pinpointed the sub as Vosmaer's Eclectus.

She has the proper yellow/orange on the tail feathers and all. I was a lil curious why her chest was paler than some and that is why. Its more of a purple than a blue.

oh, if I forgot to mention, she, is indeed a female. :red:

So, what kind of Ekkie do you have? I don't see too many of mine.

I also have a female Vos---they are my favorites.
I have a male of unknown locale. He came into my shelter as a stray.

I love the colors of the males as well. My wife really wants a male. We rescued her off of craigslist. The guy didn't really care for her, more than cage feeding her etc. He didn't even know how to handle her. She really opened up now tho.

I have a male, i was told he was a SI but he has a few yellow feathers. Vet said hes more than likely a mix of a SI and a red sided. If different types are bred together you'll start getting yellow feathers. You didnt have any mixes as an option so I polled SI.

I think Chico is a Vos but I am still not sure. More research needs to be done.

He is on the large side weighing in close to 500 grams, has a blocky head, and yellow on the tips of his tail.
