what is you're birds favorite food

Maui goes bonkers for banana (if you're eating one, you better share!) and apples
Also loves home made birdie bread with eggs in it

Gus is extremely picky so i have to trick him with the vegetables. But, he loves a piece of shredded cheddar cheese now and then, yogurt, grapes, mashed potatoes (plain), whole grain noodles. And almond as a treat

I hardly ever let him have dairy even though he loves it.

Max enjoys a lot of variety.

His favorite veggies are:
sweet potato, snap peas, green beans, asparagus, bell peppers, cauliflower, corn,
carrots and broccoli (only if carrots and broccoli are cooked)

His favorite fruits are:
mangos, plums, and green seedless grapes

Basil was on a seed only diet at his last home...

We have been mixing seed with pellets and he is adjusting to that..Any attempts at fresh food met with disgust and he threw everything to the dogs.

However in the last couple of weeks he has started taking odd bits of fresh food and if we say grape his head shoots up.. I give him the grape and say 'grape yummy'..

When I sat on the stairs yesterday listening to him chat I heard him mumble and then say yummy...I think grapes are his favorite so far!

nut fav food is what is on my plate! mainly what she is not ment to eat a whole lot of!
so if she is out an my plate is un-guarded, she goes into rat mode, scurrying about the long way round so as not to attract attention, then wham!! she dragged of top slice of my sandwich once and took off with the slice of ham an mayo!!! i chased her down an had to bin the ham!!!

devious creature that she is! she also likes fingers and toes

My two parakeets love just about everything I give them but this summer they seem to be devouring corn on the cob and tomato wedges. They recently discovered fennel seeds and crushed red pepper seeds and attack them too.

My 2 YN Amazon's favorite food above all else is my homemade sugar free Zucchini bread. I am sure they would hope into a tigers mouth is there was a loaf of it in there. They can be screaming in a fit and if i hold up a chunk they immediatly know what is is and hop over and grab it.

YNAMomma, if you give them their favorite treat when they are screaming
you are actually rewarding them for screaming.
Is that really what you want to do?
When my YNA screams I cover her cage with a dark cloth & leave the room.

my blue headed pionus wasnt fed freshfood in his last home but his favorites are grape and corn

what is you're birds favorite food im mostly concentrating on fruit and veg. i want to see if there are any traits between the same species.

for me my budgies favorite fruit or veg is silverbeat. he even prefers it over seed (millet) which is surprising

as for my lorikeet his favorite is green seedless grapes but apple and corn come in a close second

My fingers lol

:p AHAHA your fingers! I hope it's only a jest anyway! I think Quack most loves whatever I JUST made

Sprite's favorite food is dried apricots!! If I give him some in his food, that what he goes for and eats first :)

mine eats alot of his seed/dried fruit/nut mix, apples are his fave. for some reason throws bananna away. and then anything im eating he will want and usually gets some of it  he quite likes the crust of wholemeal bread

Tika loves her bean mash - its a basic bean mix to which I add quinoa, flax seeds and kale. She's always just head down and beak covered until the bowl is almost empty.

Lu Lu my green cheek. Loves sun flower seeds oranges grapes apple sprouts cucumber peas PBJ. Just a tiny piece

Sorry guy's can't help myself but my lot loves seafood.:D

They see food & eat it.

Truly all my parrots love just about everything i give them. The more variety the better.

Kiwi refuses anything but millet and pellet food, but Widget really likes seedless green grapes and cuties, those little clementines. He goes to town on that stuff, and in the process ends up flinging it everywhere.

My gcc loves mashed potatos, mashed carrots, grapes, oranges, eggs, cheese, pasta, peanut butter toast, oatmeal spoon fed and pecans.

Those are the main ones i know about though i have only had him a week so i dont know for sure everything he likes but i am sure i will learn more as i get to know him better. I have found he does not really care for any sort of melons or corn. He is also not very big on meats either.

For junk food he begs for pretzels almost constantly so i have found low sodium ones and let him have an occasional treat of one pretzel.

My budgie is very very picky and will eat millet and millet and anything as long as it is plain millet and dont even bother trying to give anything else. I found a package of raspberry infused millet spray at a local pet store i got him some he wont touch it and in fact neither will my conure but give them both normal millet sprays and they devour it in less than a couple hours.

we have tried offering all kinds of fruit and veggies to the budgie and he wont eat it in fact he wont even go to the same side of the cage that food is in if it is put in his cage

My keet is the same way. My green cheek will try what ever I'm eating she loves cheezits and lays chips

For now, spray millet. He looks at it like you and I would look at a giant chocolate hot fudge brownie sundae with Hagen Daz ice cream.

He's eating everything else though. He loves to eat. When he gets all full, and his crop is huge, he waddles around, it's the funniest thing ever. He looks like he just left an all you can eat buffet. LOL!
