Hi all. I’m hoping that someone could confirm which Amazon this is please. He’s 5 months old apparently. I’m new to amazons but I have had African grey and do have 2 ciaques I love very much. I just had the space in my heart to squeeze another feathered friend into.

It’s just a gut feeling but I think he/she is older than 5 months.
Toe claws look a little long for a baby.
The tail feathers look in too good of condition, baby birds are always hard on tail feathers..

I don’t know where you got him or the circumstances .
I am not completely familiar with what young orange wings look like but it’s common for young amazons not to develop their adult coloring for 3-5 years.
Yours looks to be normal coloring so…..
IDK.
As I say it’s just my gut call

Thank you for all your replies. I am really off with this something just doesn’t seem right. You know when you get that gut feeling. He told me it was a yellow front then his brother said blue front. But his picture when I put it on google search from the pic it says orange. Not bought him as yet but have paid a deposit and seen the bird I know it’s not a scam as he is a reputable breeder. Just seems a little hesitant when I asked anything. It wasn’t till I got home and started thinking things. Could just be me

Look at the eye color. THis is at best a juvenile Orange Wing. 5 month old Amazons still have the almost black eye color. NOTHING wrong with adopting a juvie or an adult, but being sold as a baby... makes me wonder.
