Critterman..Nobody who knows birds faults you for doing this! It would be far worse for you to keep them, and not be able to care for them properly. I have taken in many birds in my life, and have always been glad to do so when the owner made a good decision. It's only when birds are abused, neglected or mistreated that we feel upset. You are doing the right thing by them, and we all respect you for that. As an older guy, I worry about a similar situation for my babies. I've slowed down my rescue work, but, still have my forever flock to worry about. Thank goodness a lifetime of bird rescue has given me a large network of friends who I know I can trust to care for my birds, if needed.
