Sammy is already a forum member but he just joined our family last Friday.

Some of you may remember our forum member, Puck/Michelle and her quaker, Sammy. Michelle contacted me last week and asked if I could find a loving home for her little guy since she found out she wouldn't be able to take him along to Honduras with her.

My husband has an apartment fairly close to Michelle where he stays during the week. He works for American Airlines based at Alliance Airport. Sammy will be my husband's room mate for at least thirty days before joining the rest of our flock. Sammy has been with Joe since Friday and I'm thinking by the time quarantine is over Joe will not be able to part with him.

Sammy is an adorable little quaker and we are very happy to have him join our flock/family.

Here's a pic from Friday right after he arrived at Joe's place.

Awww poor puck. I had wondered what was going on with her move. She must be pretty down about all the drastic changes but very happy you were able to help with Sammy!

Sammy couldn't have landed in a better new home! Glad you and your husband could take him into your flock :D

Puck was very sad to say Goodby to Sammy. She will be able to check on him any time she'd like though. I hope things work out for her in her new home.

Thank you, Amanda! Joe is learning first hand how bossy quakers can be. Sammy is a talker so he has the upper hand already.

I love how Sammy was able to go to one of the best homes possible :). It's definitely sad for Michelle, but at least she can be comforted knowing where he is.

Oh, so Sammy's a talker? Watch out Joe with those talking Quakers! You know he'll be able to pick up some choice words from Harry when they meet LOL!!

Thank you, Julie! I will muzzle Ms. Harry, she will not corrupt an innocent quaker like Sammy. He has a very clean vocabulary.

Sammy has said, 'Step Up, Bye Bye, I Love You, and a couple of other phrases Joe wasn't sure about.

Hahaha! Muzzle Ms. Harry... No, she can't corrupt an innocent young boy like Sammy !

This is so awesome!!! Welcome home Sammy boy! :smile015: I have ZERO doubts that Sammy will have Joe wrapped around his little talon in no time flat. :D And I agree with Amanda, Sammy struck it rich by 'landing' with you guys!

Now let the adventures begin. :54:

LMAO @ muzzling Harry. HAHAHAH!

I also wondered what was going on...so happy you have Sammy!

That is fabulous news Allee. I am sure Sammy will fit right in with your flock.

Way to go Sammy!!!!!

Agreed, Ravensgryf! Michelle is so lucky to have you take care of him, (ps I hope her move runs smoothly :) )

I'm so glad that Puck was able to find such a perfect home for Sammy! I couldn't imagine a better fit. Even if Ms. Harry decides to try and influence innocent little Sammy to say some rebellious words ;)

Congratulations on your new addition!

And the flock keeps growing! :D Sammy will have a great home with you and the rest of the flock. Maybe, rather than Harry corrupting Sammy, Harry will learn a few less colorful phrases from Sammy. :)

AWWWW!!! You are so awesome! I'm glad Puck found a great home and new family.

I feel so terrible for Michelle having to give him up, but he sure did get to go to a great home. <3

How wonderful that you were able to take Sammy! He's a lucky birdie!

Aw, that's my boy! Is he doing okay? I'm settled into my new apartment in Honduras, learning interesting things like how ALL food must be kept in the fridge lest the ants swarm it and how to use a "suicide shower" head (the water is heated in the head of the shower by electrical wires!). I miss him so much. I watch the wild parrots around here and think of my guy! <3
