Hi everyone, so I have picked up some nice pieces of stick that have fallen from a gum tree at the park. It's going to make a really nice perch. This might seem like a stupid question, but how do I wash it before putting it in the cage? Thanks

Thanks Mikey. I sent you another message in a post but maybe you haven't seen it. I wanted to let you know my cockatiel took its first flight this morning! It's only 3.30pm here but she started flying in the morning! She will fly to me. I think she wants me to pick her up constantly lol

I also bought a big cage for him now that he is flying.

Yea I must of missed that message....I'm in and out all the time on here. Then I had to do my duties while on here so sometimes I'm on but I'm doing my duty. You can always prvt message me if you need more urgent help as I usually respond pretty quick as long as I'm awake...lol....

Oh ok thanks!
My baby cockatiel is all grown up!!!!

I would say he's a month old now since he's flying. He is ready for a cage for sure. Do start to offer food in the dishes as he should start weaning within 2 week period from now. Sometimes a little longer. I have had babies weaning at 40 days, most around 45 days, few at 60 and only one at 6 months(This baby played me for a fool and I fall for it until my partner caught him eating away but his crop is empty every time I check him but he was caught so I stopped feeding and next time I checked, his crop was full).

This is the cage I got for my little angel! Still need to put his gum perch in and toys. I have been offering her dishes of food in milk bottle tops and water. He will peck at the seed but his crop is still emptying so still feeding him formula when the crop is empty.
I have a really nice swing for him with multi coloured glass jewels :)

I think Homer will start flying soon too as he's flapping his wings

IF your wanting to put them together in same cage I would advise a little bit bigger cage, otherwise this is a good cage for your little Angel. But not a good cage for Homer.
