Java wood perch with odor

Okay, so I bought this perch brand new last week and it smells like manure!
I have washed it 4x with dish soap and water, let it air out on the balcony in the sun for 3 days.. It still stinks!
I don't want my living room where Otto's house is smelling like manure and I don't want him smelling like it.
Not sure how to get rid of the smell while keeping it safe for a bird to use.
