Quick question on the Volkmans... I finally had today off to cook it for Petey. I soaked it all day yesterday, and over night and put it on the stove around 9 this morning, so it cooked about 4 and a half hours.

My question is: some of the beans, though soft, are what I would call more crumbly than smooshy...is that ok to feed? I'm scared to death that they aren't done enough...
 
I dont know, I soaked overnight and then cooked it all day. I was also worried. To be on the safe side, maybe just add more water & cook it longer .... ? That's what I did. :eek:

I think I will take that advice! I took it off the stove and have it in the fridge... I think maybe I will go ahead and add more water to it and pop it back on the stove in the morning to cook all day.
