I just saw this in my local craigslist [emoji35]

I have to say, I live in a tiny apartment with my whole flock, including 5 cockatiels. And it sounds like this poor baby is even quiet during the day! Breaks my heart. I'll be sharing the actual ad on local Facebook pages hopefully he finds a good home. It just makes me sick that he is being gotten rid of for literally no good reason other than lack of research before buying.

Wow... just... wow. That's pretty heart breaking and disgusting. I know Brendon told me a woman at Petland was incredibly angry because it cost her "more than $25 a month to feed a stupid bird", and that apparently it shouldn't cost that much to feed a cockatiel. I hope this handsome fellow gets adopted into a loving home that he deserves.

Wow, he makes noise TWICE a day on a REGULAR basis??? That is nuts!!! (Note my intense sarcasm there.)

Seriously, what is wrong with people? If you want a pet that makes no noise then get a beta fish!

Some people just should not have birds... well more like some people should not have any critters in their home... When Max first came home we were still in my condo... not the best situation, but really a cockatiel? Unless its like the greatest cockatiel of all times and can do impressions of a lion... at full sound...

Know we know why Gibbs walks up and smacks people in the back of the head...

Twice a day? My birbs make noise whenever they feel like it....if you don't want to deal with the noise, don't get a bird?? Clearly the 'love him' part is a lie.

Poor thing. If I lived in Hawaii and had the time to give another bird, I would take him in.

Oh what a good ideal. Someone quick come save me from my cockatiel too.
Not only does he make a flock callnoise twice a day and wake me up on weekends but he constantly tells me what a pretty bird he is. He also starts calling for me as soon as I walj in the door or if ive been in the front room too long.

On top of that silly me I taught him to give kisses for treats and now he nibbles my lip or nose whenever hes out of food or wants a treat.

Sometimes when I try to leave the room he lands on me and wont get off. Lots of times he escapes into the bathroom where he is very hard to get to leave. He sits on the top of the door and screams.

When I give in and have the front room made bird safe so he can come out he screams to go back to the room.

He sits on my head and his nails claw me. He slides down my forehead and scratches me. I could go on and on......

Oh wait thats what I signed up for and I would only change 2 things and I am working on those. One kiss not nip for food. I always make him give a proper kiss first. Two getting more cooperation to not fly after me into the bathroom mainly because I always close the door behind me and he almost got squashed once.

When you love a bird those other things don't matter. Im trying to teach him good morning and I love you. He just loves telling me hes a pretty bird :)
Says it to Rex too when they "play".

Good grief! My cockatiel is the quietest bird in my flock, even the budgies are louder than Sweet Pea. Maybe I'm not the right person to offer opinions, I live with a U2.

Any updates, Dani? I hope this little love finds a good home, and a much better cage.

No updates yet, he is still listed :( there is another cockatiel listed for free, and several babies listed for around $75 so his chances aren't good :(
