My budgie is a little light on the feathers where the under wing meets the body is this normal? I tried for the life of me to get a picture but go no where. Also i know for a fact right now he is molting as their is pin feathers all over his head. Basically no/sparse feathers in the armpit of my Budgie.

It is very common for Bird owners to miss identify this area of a Bird's body as 'under' feathered! This area has a minimum number of both body and downy feathers as a means of controlling body temperature, adjusting for the placement of the wing against the body, and as a very special passage for air to pass from above the wing to below the wing during the upstroke of the wing.

Long story short: Normal!
