I start setting up her outside area up around 7:30am (new toys if any, treats in foraging toys, fresh food/water etc.). She usually gets woken up around 8-8:30am and she gets taken directly outside, if shes not taken directly from her sleep cage to her day area she is grumpy all day (by this I mean screaming). If I give her any sort of petting first thing in the morning then she thinks that is what we are doing all day. I have found that if she goes straight out then she is fine all day playing with toys and foraging. She stays outside loose in her day area until around 4:30-5pm. Then she comes inside, usually hangs out with me while I do house chores (helps out a little), usually garden some and spend time with each other until dark. Shes been staying up until around 8-8:30 eats her dinner and then she goes to bed. If we stick to this routine then there is absolutely no screaming at all. She will bark various times during the day and make all kinds of other noise but wont scream. She doesn't do any sounding off either (morning or evening) as long as I'm not late bringing her in. It took awhile to find a routine that worked with our schedule and took her a bit to adjust to it but she seems to be happy with it.
Kazi is a YNA and he gets up between 8 and 9 in the morning. If he hasn't called for me by 9 I go wake him up.
Then we get breakfast and I talk about all the things he's getting and how I'm preparing them. He eats if it's something he loves. If it's not he eats what he likes out of it and then either waits for me to eat so he can beg some off of me, or, like right now, gets on the floor and wanders around chasing cats and terrorizing dogs while trying to get me to move into the laundry room with him.
After we get done playing 'protect the predators from the prey' he joins me in my studio or my office while I get some work done. Usually he entertains himself fairly well, but sometimes he wants to sit on my shoulder while I work.
Other days if I have errands to run and it's not too cold or hot for him to sit in the car while I do them he'll go out with me and we'll sing along to the iPod or chatter at each other.
Usually at some point we'll take a break. We'll either go outside and play ball with the dogs or we'll do some tricks for 10 minutes or so or we'll just get silly and wrestle with one another for a little while.
Around 3pm he climbs up on his play gym and eats whatever's left in his dish from breakfast. Around 3:30 or 4 I feed him dinner. He either eats most of it in one go or grazes for the next couple of hours between play. It depends on how good it is and whether or not my husband or myself brought it to him.
Around 5 or 6pm he'll climb on me for his nap and he'll doze for an hour or so off and on. When I see him yawning and tucking his head back, I know he's ready for bed, so we go get a treat and he goes in his room for the night.
Typical day, umm. Ooops, forgot to mention he's a senegal. Pint sized energy ball.
My other half gets up for work around 8, he opens the top part of Merlins cage so he has the option of coming out into the bedroom. He leaves for 8:30 and Merlin is usually just sat on his cage, playing or he'll come down to the bed for cuddles with me. We might nap a little bit until say 11 or so.
I get up, sort his food and water out, check his droppings to see if there's any unusal colouring etc. Clean that out if there's droppings at all (since he spends so much time out of his cage!) then he's out then for a while until say 2-3 when I'll put him in for a nap or he'll lie with me in bed and nap/on my shoulder.
After a nap, more play time, cuddles chatter.
5-6 is when my other half and housemate gets home, so Merlin comes and joins us for preperation for tea, chopping veggies etc (he gets to have a nibble!), then we ALL sit and eat. So the bunny gets fed, Merlin gets food in his other dish in the travel cage etc.
Then he'll be put in his cage for an hour or two depending on what mood he's in, and then finally he'll go to bed around 11pm.
My oldest gets up at 5:30 for school, sits in the living to eat breakfast while the cag whispers "hello?" She just ignores him, lol. All the birds get covered at night. The rest of the house is up at 7:00. The cag gets uncovered and comes out then. He comes to the kitchen while i make LOTS of coffee and get the 3 kids breakfast. He snacks on fruit and veggies while i cut it all up for everyones dishes. About 9am, the lorikeet, quaker and tiel get uncovered and their cages opened. I collect all the food and water dishes, wash them and they get breakfast. I come back with the cag and sit down, first thing he does is goes for my coffee cup...EVERY morning. He has spilled it a few times, only to laugh while hauling butt to his cage. The birds eat and cricket comes down to sit with me and play for awhile. About 12, the kids get lunch and the birds get treats. Then when the 2 little ones go down for a nap, the birds preen and settle in for a nap, or take a bath then preen and nap. 3, the older kids get home and my 11 year old takes freckles for some playtime. Around 4, i start dinner and puffers usually comes to the kitchen to nibble while i cook. 5 is dinner, papito helps himself to my plate. Kids get showers and ready for bed. About 8pm we take the birds outside while the sun sets. 8:30 birds and kids get put to bed, except the cag, he comes to the couch for scratches. He finally goes to bed around 10.

At 730 I get up and ready for work, I uncover my Macaw (the CAGS are not covered) and turn on the lights. I roll the blinds up and pop some music in after telling them all good morning. I make their breakfast, change waters, and then go take care of the dogs.
I work everyday from 8-430, but I come home at lunch to clean the breakfast dishes out of their plates and say hello to everyone, let my dogs out as well again before going back to work. I also change water agian if needed.
When I get home from work the cage doors are opened. Depending on what room I am in (living room or office) the birds come with me. My Macaw goes to her java tree and the CAG's go to their play gym. I give them treats and scratches and they exercise their wings and play with their toys.
As the evening comes around I take each of them and give them cuddles and attention if they want it. Another water change, fill up bowls with pellets if they need more. Clean cages.
Around 8, 830 everyone goes back into their cages to settle down for the night. I usually let them climb around their cages and they'll go inside on their own. Then at 9 the lights are off and its bed time.
Weekends are varied, though I try to keep to the schedule in the morning and let them come out to play earlier in the afternoon.
My days can vary, especially since I don't work. For instance, I was gone for over 4 hours which isn't typical. I have a GCC (Loki) and a Goffin's 'Too (Sugar). I should also mention that I keep the birds in our bedroom.
Weekdays: Hubs gets up for work between 6-6:30, so the Fids start waking up about then too. Luckily, they are usually quiet until I get up. My alarm goes off at 6:30, but it can take me until 7 to actually move, lol. The Spawn (a long-standing joking term I use for my daughter online) usually crawls into bed with me shortly before 7 until I kick her out and tell her to get dressed or showered and dressed for school, at which point she says good morning to the birdies. I let Loki out first because he eats only on top of his cage and he's STARVING by then I open up Sugar's platform on her door and let her decide to come out or not but usually she waits since she has food in her cage.
I head downstairs at some point and make myself coffee, get fresh water for the Fids, make the Spawn's lunch and breakfast and then plop in front of the computer for a bit. Then she leaves for school and I head upstairs to grab a shower. Loki would shower with one of us every day if we let him, but now that we have Sugar, I have to decide who's turn it is. After shower, both are usually out, playing with a toy or eating or whatever. After that, I usually cut up some fruit or veggies (both), whatever fresh things I have available and take them up and replace their pellets with that. After some cuddles and head rubs and such, I go about my business. After nap time for them (1:30-3ish seems to be the time), I'll give myself a bit of a break from whatever chore I'm engrossed in and spend some time with them. Loki is a bit more independent and doesn't require much during the day, whereas Sugar is still adjusting and wants my attention ALL the time (so I'm keeping to the routine I had before so as not to spoil her).
A little before 3:30 the Spawn comes home and she does her thing, along with her going up and saying hello to the feathered ones. Then it's homework time, followed by dinner time, followed by bedtime for the Spawn. During this time, Hubs or I or both of us will have a bird with/on us. Loki loves watching me in the kitchen! He often gets his own plate and eats dinner with us.
Most evenings, after dishes and such are done downstairs, Hubs and I head upstairs to relax. We usually watch something on Netflix, or read or just sit and chat with each other and the birds. Sugar is getting used to this bedtime routine, but Loki is an old pro. He starts with Daddy, just running all around on him, chewing this, nibbling that and preening his stubble. When he starts to wear down, then he moves over to me, grabs a bit of my hair and chews on it while grinding his beak. When he starts getting nippy, that's when he goes away for the night. We're still learning Sugar's sleepy signs, but so far she's fallen asleep ON one of us and last night she was put away for getting nippy. We may watch one more episode of whatever series we're doing or we may go right to sleep. This all starts around 7-8pm and can last until about 10:30-11pm.
Weekends, Loki wakes me up at about 7am wanting to eat, so I let him out and go back to bed myself. Then everyone pitches in, we eat breakfast as a family (including birds) and then we do whatever.
We have had our two Amazons, Beako and Kiwi for over a month now. Our Monday-Fridays go like this:
We wake up for work around 6:45am, and start getting ready.
We uncover the birds at 7:30am, lights on, blinds opened! Share our good mornings!
Fresh pellets and fresh water goes in the cage!
Turn on the children's radio station on the laptop - streaming!
We work until 4:30pm
Get home at 5pm, lay down some papers around the cages, let them out to play!
Cut up fresh fruits and veggies, throw in a nut or two and let them snack and play.
around 6pm they get moved to a large manzanita stand my bf built, they get a shower - with music and dancing!
While they are out, I go in and CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN!
Change papers, vacuum 3x a week, wipe down the cages and perches!
They go for a fly! Kiwi holds on to a branch and flaps her wings in the living room, Beako holds onto our hands and flaps away!
They go back in their cage around 8:30pm to eat some more pellets and settle in for the night.
I sing them good night songs, cover them up, and lights out!
And when I turn their lights out - I'm pooped!
Weekends are another story! They get up around 9am, and they are out of the cage all day (unless we have to leave)
A typical day for us. I uncover cages and open blinds at 8 A.M. Tell them all good morning and feed them breakfast. After breakfast I put on the music and we all sing and dance while I clean the bird room (I have got pretty good at dancing and cleaning at the same time). Then they come in the living room to their playstands and tree stands, while I clean the rest of the house. Afterwards, I let one at a time help me at the computer while I work on my book work. Then while I run a few errands they go back into their bird room to play with toys and to take a nap. After naps they come back out to their stands and just hang out with me. They each get individual one on one time to cuddle. We have dinner, watch some T.V. together and then they all go to bed between 7:30 and 8:00 p.m. except Peppers (CAG). She doesn't go to bed until 9.
