Do certain species of parrots smell differently?

For those of you that have experience with multiple species of parrots, do you find that some species smell differently than others? My girlfriend has a Amazon parrot. The parrot is very healthy, is on a good diet, and is bathed regularly but I notice a slight musty odor from the bird. That made we wonder, do Amazons in general have a slight musty odor and do other species have a specific odor about them?

Oh yes yes yes!!! They all smell very different. My jenday conure smells so incredible. I could sniff her all day. She smells different then my sun. Nico my Ekkie smells like regurgitated food. My macaw smells like wet pine bedding that is commonly used with hamster bedding.

My Amazons smell like a musty closet.

when wet the musty smell is not noticeable.
As soon as they dry the smell comes back.

My Cockatiels have a smell , it’s a clean smell.

Yeah, I remember discovering how pionuses smell differently than conures. I have a poor memory for smells, so I can't describe it...
But as a fanfact I can add that from what I read, kakapos (I know, nobody owns them, it's just a fanfact) stink so much (it was described as of mustiness), while shining parrots have a gentle musky scent (at least that's what I read)

After reading these, I smelled my grey. All I noticed was nose full of dust, actual feather dust. So passing on this. Maybe I am not sensitive.

I have an ekkie, an amazon, and a grey. They all smell hugely different. And the best time to get a good nose full is when they're in happy mode. Right above the nare. I assume there's scent glands there as that's where the strongest bouquet seems to be. Happy ekkie, to me, freshly cut sweet peppers or something of the like, and definitely the most pronounced of my little flock. Happy zon, yeah, a bit more more musty, but still wonderful and slightly intoxicating. People who don't like it often describe it as pungent. Those who get it... Mmmmmmmmmmm! Happy grey, I can't put my finger on it, but like a combo of dusty and sweet. Love it!

I think there's another side of this as well, like a bonding thing. Nothing better than a bird who snuggles up with their head under your nose. Feel the love!

My macaw smells like sweet, fruity, powdery perfume with a touch of pine tree when dry. After bathing him in the shower, he brings back childhood memories of rainy camping trips and stinky wet down-filled sleeping bags.

Only way I can describe Pionus smell is some kind of plant.
