Training schedule- off day?

We've been training the whole week but today Johnny didn't want to step-up or leave the top of his cage (which is strange since it wasn't a problem before.)
Does a parrot need an off-day in his training schedule?

I would have to say yes to that!
Fargo was not in the mood to train at all yesterday! usually he LOVES his training time, but yesterday he wanted nothing to do with it.. and today.. he was excited like his usual self

Just needed a break i think!

I normally have 5 days on, 2 days off. Normally she will work with me through each training session this way, keeps the routine going the way we both like it. And she gets her break days where she can just chill out everyone's happy that way!
Although I have had an occasion or two where she just DID NOT want to have anything to do with training lol. But I guess I have days where I can't be bothered, same goes with our fids!

They need days off just like us humans, only difference is we are able to say it, they are not.

I sit With Mishka for an hour each and every night, training him.
There have been some nights, when he just wants to play and be loved.
I go with the flow.
