Well, there’s a few ways to do it, I probe them, so, you take an appropriately sized stainless steel probe and, in the end of their tails, they have two pockets, the females have very shallow pockets so the probe goes in 2-3 ventral scales, while the males have deep pockets (for storing their hemipenes when not in use) and the probe goes in 4-6+ scales.

Well I have but she hasn't given me a clear answer! I think she says other birds are cool but she doesn't know about sharing the attention.

What is it with green cheeks that they seem to be such cuddle birds? Are they all like that? So many people post pictures of their GCCs acting like baby birds when they appear to be adults. To they like to cuddle even after the dreaded puberty?

I’m not sure, I think they like to cuddle so much because when they have a mate, you see them almost always touching. They sit right against each other, sleep together etc.
While a hand raised tiel is likely never going to be on the level of cuddliness that a green cheek is. My bonded pair of tiels preen each other once in a while and sleep near each other but they aren’t touching most of the time.

I think how much a bird wants to cuddle depends on the species a lot. I don’t mean that as a species stereotype but this is what I’ve observed.

GCC are known for being cuddly and clingy, yes. Not ALL are but many of them are.

Fang prefers the mist bottle to dunking in the water dish, but he looks a LOT like Romeo at bath time! He practically turns himself inside out cos he has to get EVERY feather absolutely soaked, and just when I think he's had enough he comes back for more! 'Tiels have to be some of the most enthusiastic bathers out there, maybe cos they evolved in such dry conditions so whenever they get to bathe they really make the most of it!

Oh you’re definitely right! All of my tiels prefer the spray bottle too over their bowls of water and stuff.

Got my order from MySafeBirdStore yesterday!

Got lots of mahogany pods! Seagrass mats, popsicle sticks, plastic jacks and tubes, vine shapes, corn cobs, wooden beads, corks, planet pleasures round foot toys, palm shredder, and of course, crinkle paper!
Food wise, popcorn nurtiberries, 2lb. Of flax and safflower seeds, one of the little bird seed mixes the store makes, some Tropican that I got for Milly (she doesn’t like it!) , some cinnamon apple chips and finally! Higgins African sunset, every birdies fav!
