Your discomfort aside, dear Inger, you KNOW Bumble will be having a good time as soon as she knows you're better.

Yep having me home for this long should make her really happy. She will enjoy all of the extra attention. She’ll probably run away from home when I go back to work!

Sorry Inger, just seeing this thread now. I’m so glad you are post-op & feeling well. Continued prayers for a speedy recovery. 💙🙏🏻

Hey...another day, and still doing great!

Grinnn Bumble will want to come with you to work probably. :)

I get the painkillers are scary / double-edged, they are meant to take the stress of continuos pain away from your body and help you heal, but if they cause problems as well ... I hope your doctors are aware and helping. This is not something you should have to deal with all on your own.

Doc and I had a good chat about pain meds and I have a good safety plan in place. Was able to take less today so that’s positive. Got out to the craft store for a little outing today which was great.

Everyone’s continued support is so appreciated!

You have an all-natural organic living breathing pain killer. Her name is Bumble :smile015:

LaManuka... that is beautiful! I'm really enjoying your contributions here!

Wow Gail (if I may call you that) high praise indeed coming from you, thank you! I think it stems from having had my heart thoroughly broken last month when I lost my GCC, my baby Baci. He was my very own little Bumble with occasional Rickeybird tendencies and I loved him & miss him desperately. Since I lost him I’ve discovered this forum & the wonderful people here who understand how I feel & I see that same kind of love reflected here and you people may just have saved my sanity. So in memory of the lessons my sweet precious little angel taught me I guess I’m kind of trying to pay it forward maybe. At least I think that’s what it is, but I’m very happy to have found acceptance & a bit of fun here, you have done so much to lighten my heart. Thank you!

Sorry for hijacking your thread Inger !!

Inger loves all bird lovers. She'll forgive us both.

We here thoroughly understand the many joys and heartaches of parronting. I'm glad you're here, and I'm sure Inger and Bumble are, too!

Let's highjack Inger!

A tour around the world could be just what the docor feared and Inger might like :)

(skip NL today Inger...it's grey and boring outside, tuesday is supposed to be nice and warm -> we'll find a spot in Utrecht city centre next to the canals and we can watch people and talk parrot!)

Somewhere overhere?

YES PLEASE. My passport is being severely under-utilized these days! Christa, I’m from Seattle, WA, USA where we (really) get 300 overcast days per year, so that doesn’t bother me in the least. Bumble and I are on our way. Pancakes sound perfect as long as there’s also coffee.

What’s my next stop??
