Tiki's Xmas in July part 2..................

When she heard the door bell ring, she just knew it had to be for her. You can just see her busting with excitement. She's waiting on me to bring a cutter to open the box. I think I heard her mumbling something about I wish that old guy would move a little quicker hahahahahaha.

Yeah, it's a little big for her and I don't think she will grow into it, but she looks thrilled with it just the same. Plus if I get a Blue Front Amazon later on, they can both use it I think.

I was quite shocked that she readily stepped up on it. I tried to make one out of a dogs pull rope toy. But she would have nothing to do with it. It was black so I figured maybe it's the color so I wrapped it in some strips of white T-shirt. Nope, she wasn't having any of it.

So I found this one online and they had several colors to choose from. So I went with the same color as the rope perches I have attached to the outside of her cage and I think that made the difference. She readily stepped up on the springy rope that I got her the other day as well and it was that same multi-colored rope. So I think the coloration was the key here.

I tried to take Tiki in the shower with me once. I had her on my shoulder and as soon as the water started hitting her, she started scratching the heck out of my shoulder trying to get away. I think I might still have a scar or three from that little ditty. So I let her take her own baths when she thinks she needs one. hahahahahaha

lol nut did same, i thought she prefered baths?? or the spritz but for the pass couple of days she has shown more then a passin interest in gettin wet lol

she's just had a full shower with me, flew off an then back again lol my arm an shoulder look a tad battle scared

Thanks mike, might take you up on it at a later date. I'm not working now so Merlin doesn't get alot of new bird toys. I'm always buying fun things for him probably not intended for birds. Of course, being home I'm his biggest toy. He seems ok w/that. Whats a poor bird to do. lol

hahahahahaha, I know what you mean. I hung up Tiki's toy and she played on it for a few minutes. Then she wanted off and guess where she's at right now. Sitting on my knee while I'm at the computer. That is her favorite place to be.

Love it! That looks like a very strudy swing. I might have to get one for Ida. I am not liking the rope swing I have for Ida.

Tiki is a lucky bird! I have a swing very similar to that one (but smaller). River likes his too.
