Winter is coming ~ and it has occured to me that the lack of Reverse cycle air in the birds room might be a problem. I have decided to move Charlie into his traveller crate for sleep, so it will keep him warmer at night. I have covered the walls with seagrass and drilled a hole to attach his calcium perch he normally sleeps on. I have a container for water near the door, but evenutally i will buy a proper stainless steel cup to drill into the wall. There is a rather newish blanket in there too to snuggle to if he wants. I was careful to choose a higher quality blanket to avoid any nails or feet getting stuck in possible threads. His room and cage at night are usually blacked out completely so he gets 12 hours of sleep regardless of the time he goes to bed. I will be covering the crate completely instead of the cage in this instance.
I have attached some pics for reference
It would be great to know if anyone else does this?
