Oh! What a sweet bird! My Alexes would have my fingers off if I tried to touch them like that! You're very lucky to be able to handle little Heero, as a lot of Alexes don't like to be touched.

When our birds become sexually mature, it's probably best not to stroke their bodies like that. They can see it as a sexual approach and can become confused about what you mean by it. For now, though, I can see Heero loves being with you and gets great comfort from your touch. He's a lucky bird!
