I picked up my new Golden conures today! They are quite nervous, so I only snapped one quick pic. I am naming them Chino and Deja.

Thanks for looking!

They are such great looking birds. Every time I go into my local store and they have some I need to spend time playing with them. Congratulations!

They are beautiful .......my goodness how many birds do you have. Would love to see pics of your setup with that many birds.

I thought these were quite rare! Is this a breeding pair?

I love the golden conures at the Golden Cockatoo. They're such fun and cuddly birds!

Thanks, Everyone! I am quite thrilled to have them. They are a bonded pair, but only laid once in the former owner's care and the eggs were not fertile. I may give it a try to breed them myself, but even if they don't breed, I'm just happy to have them.

You seem to have a lot of birds, where do you keep them all? Would love to see pics of your setup.

Hi dish! I am fortunate to have a big house with plenty of room for birds. My most sociable guys who like to come out and play and hang out are in the family room where most of the action is. The less sociable rescues are in a nice sun room where they have the company of each other if they wish, but less human disturbance. And, the ones that are fosters and available for adoption are in a spare bedroom---mostly for quarantine purposes.

Ooooh! They're so beautiful! I've seen pictures of them before and every time I see a picture of those beauties it takes my breath away. All birds are beautiful in their own way, but man, those guys are just so bright and lovely looking. I have never seen one in real life :( ...one day I'll get to see one.

Wow sounds nice. How many do you have?

Custom--- "Take my breath away" is exactly the same term I used to describe them to a friend last night!

dish--- the number varies depending on what fosters I have and their adoption status. I have 12 of my own, and I can handle maybe 3 fosters at a time, depending on their needs. I also have a couple foster homes who between them can handle another 6-8, again, depending on the birds' needs. Not sure if you saw my intro thread, but I am quite involved in rescue so my circumstance is a bit different than most folks, but I love doing it, and I'm fortunate to be in a position to hopefully help some birds on their way to permanent homes. And, for those that likely won't ever be anyone's pet, they can have a place to live as long as they need.
