Luna is starting to display her hormones.
This is the usual time for them.
Time will tell how severe it’s going to be.
Here is. A short video of them when they stopped by for a visit.
Luna is closest to camera.
Merlin is friendlier to me than Luna so Luna interposes herself in front of Merlin to guard/protect him.

I am so in love. They seem so attached and comfortable.

Sometimes I think the Rb would be less a terror if he had a roommate twin. Then sometimes I think it would be TWICE the terror...

I had more luck than I thought possible when I got them.

I had lost my other pair of Amazons in 2016 (Plumas) and 2017 (Pacho).
Was looking for, not a replacement but as close as I could get.

Luna was a rescue found in San Diego and was much like a wild caught parrot ( as Plumas was a wild caught). I adopted her through the P.F. In December 2017.
I bought Merlin at a bird fair near me the next year.
He was at least socialized and comfortable with people (like Pacho was ).

Their relationship was a little rocky at first I think cuz of age difference. Merlin was younger and more rambunctious and a little bit mean to Luna but they get along well now (as seen in the video).

They are both adorable. I’m surprised they don’t find your furniture to be a gigantic chew toy. You are lucky.
