Congratulations! And omg, people are idiots, can't have a baby and a cat? I must be a ghost, I couldn't have survived... :headwall: And don't listen to Boats, although fresh foods are best, I don't see why pellets can't have a place in a proper and well balanced diet. :p Variety is key.

Georgia is about a days drive, so if there is anything I could help with send a PM. I know, you'll be fine, just keep it in your back pocket in case of emergency.

Thank you! We will be at Ft Benning, so it might be a bit further depending on where you are.

Congratulations. Dont listen to the idiots about your cat. Ill emberass my son now. He was taking a nap and the dog was sleeping by him. My son woke up and for some reason started using a very sensitive part of the dog as a pacifier. Of course I immediately stopped him. Dog didnt even growl but did move away.
Pets are good for kids.

That's too funny! My dog loves kids, my cat tolerates them and has never scratched or bitten (and he has had reason to!) and it just breaks my heart. Cats can live 20 years, he is only 2. How could we have adopted him, knowing we wanted kids, if we didn't plan to keep him? We have made a point to socialize all of our pets with kids and babies for that very reason. To the point of taking treats out of the dog's mouth, making him share his bones, etc. we have prepared for this the best we can and it's so hard to keep a civil tongue in my mouth when people assume you can't live your kids and your pets at the same time!

Well I'm
Guessing the first color will be that weird newborn purple color...

We are both of primarily light skinned ancestry so barring any recessive blue or Ino genes I'm guessing we will have light skinned offspring with blue or brown eyes (I might be split blue eyes; yes I think about my own genetics way more now that I breed birds) and blond hair as a child darkening to brown as an adult, since that describes both of us and all our siblings.

As far as weaning I plan to feed them dog food. Just kidding probably cheerios or chicken nuggets or something.

Doesn't matter what you plan to feed them, they won't eat it, so maybe if you plan to feed them dog food they crave broccoli just to be perverse.

They're just gonna wind up eating week old french fries from the back of your car and month old cheez-its from behind the couch anyway, so don't stress about it.
