Tami, I had completely missed this page until now! I love raccoons, how cool that they come to visit you! Levi must never get bored looking out the window, wow.

Yea, they visit alright, to eat the bird seed the birds didnā€™t finish. Ha :D
But, what was unusual was the one actually getting so close to look in the window. Now that was funny & Leviā€™s response was spot on. I wished I was videoing at the pointā€¦. too funny.

Just keeping up to date w/Levi. What a smart lil guy he is.

Thanks Wrench, appreciate your visit & comment. :) I havenā€™t been around much these days. I seriously need to add some current pix & videos to his thread, Iā€™m overdue.

He is pretty proud of himself as he just busted the bungee cord on the top window. That's what he is chewing on.

Haha, Levi does look quite proud of himself.

That view, I can't believe that is a deer that close!

Oh, they get really close. My hubby actually hand feeds one of bucks. He calls him Alan & I have no idea why .... ha :D
There is no hunting in our Association so they are fairly tame.

I read a thread a while ago, asking about your birds favorite toy. I think it was toy, non-toy? Well, we all spend tons of money on bird toys.
This is by far Levi's favorite toy.
The problem is that I melt my son's meds, b/c he can't swallow pills. I melt them in syringes. So, since Levi has been flying I have to hide the cups (in my cabinet) w/ John Luke's melted medications so he can't get to them. As soon as he sees me take out the red cup w/ JL's meds, he flies over to try & steal a syringe. And boy is he fast. So, now I just give him his own every now & than.

Alan, that made me laugh! That seems like a perfect name:)

They want what they want, don't they? Good idea to let him have one sometimes, they especially want what they can never have, it seems.

Thank you, I agree. However, even though I do give him a new one every now & than, he still acts like an addict when it comes to syringes. It is clearly his favorite thing to destroy.

Here's a picture from Oct 2017, before Levi's flight feathers grew in. When it was still safe to go outside.
I love how the setting sun lights up his eye.

Seriously, this thread is the perfect pairing of a spectacular bird AND a tremendously talented photographer. It's not fair!

But it's fabulous.
