As some of you know I've been taking in the baby birds from my friend's mom. She passed yesterday and my friend have asked me to take over the birds. I am very upset at the moment and trying to help my friend the best I can.

Even though most of us will never meet eachother it does feel like a family. As Bill says we are here if you need our help.

Hugs to you and your flock Mikey! It's hard but you'll get through this I know. x

I'm sorry for your loss MikeyTN. Give yourself some time to decide if you want to take over the birds. Dont make any rash decisions right now.
Time heals. We are all here for you :)

It is her wish for me to take the birds. The girl came from me to begin with and I got her the boy. They want the birds to be with me, not someone else they said. She loved them very much....It's kinda hard to say no to that....I'll take them in for now and I need to sit down and discuss this with my partner and see what we need to do.

Thanks for the kind words everyone!!! I really appreciate it...I've been feeling sick to my stomach and my eyes hurt.....

I know im a new face around here, but i just want to offer my condolences in your tough times and i'll keep you in my thoughts. My mother in law always tells me "life will never give you more than you can handle" i have certainly found this to be very true. stay strong and take it a day at a time.

Mikey, there have been times that we've said, "Enough Birds for now!", and another little angel (or two) shows up needing our help. We always find room for them. You'll do the same. Things will work out. Deal with your grief first, then worry about the birds. You're a good & knowledgeable parront. We know you can handle this.
