T-Stand in the making...

I read yesterday how one member (I think it was Getwozzy) uses old lamp stands to make T-Stands. Of course, my mind immediately started racing because I've been struggling to find the right PVC fittings to make one (and my carpentry skills are not nearly adequate to make one of wood...yet) and this sounded like a plan!

Went rooting around mom's storage room today and found this! I've relieved it of the shade, wiring, etc and gave it a good scrub down. Now to add the T on top!

That might have been me ( or Getwozzy) that suggested using old floor lamps, something i've done for years. I usually look for yard sales and buy the ones with heavy bases to support a good size perch. How about a photo of the finished product?

I'm gonna try to find an old music stand to use as a t-perch but this is a great idea too!!! I wanna find a music stand because you can adjust it up and down!

I tried to buy an old microphone stand at a rummage sale for that same reason. They wanted too much money and wouldn't take a penny less.

great idea! I saw someone makes t stands out of camera tripods they looked really good!
