strange gulping action

Hi all! I've noticed my Sootie doing this. She's been doing it since she came from the breeder. It's always accompanied by the head scratching, and she does it sometimes when I'm scratching around her cheeks too. It's not constant, but I'll notice her doing it every day. Could it just be discomfort from her pin feathers or should I be worried? In every other aspect she's totally fine, happy and playful.
