Still thinking of a new bird

Hmmm. All the lovebirds I know have problems with screeching, there is one at school. If they aren't raised together then you should rethink about getting two... I have heard horror stories about them killing one another. I'm not sure if we're talking about the same birds but our princess parrots are quite large and I'm not sure on the noise factor.

I think that if you introduced a male to another male that they would possibly kill each other unless they are raised together.

Since you're an Aussie, don't you have wild rosellas there? From your experience, do they screech a lot in the wild (if they even live in the same region that you do)? I haven't heard anything bad about Rosellas so far.

About the princess parrots, I'm talking about th Princess of Wales Parakeet, the bird which has a bright blue crown and a pink throat.

Yes, we do have a flock of wild rosellas. They don't make that much noise, but I have heard one whistling a tune! Wonder if it is somebody's pet? They do chatter in a group. As for they lovebirds, it is the females you have to really watch out for as they are more aggressive and territorial.

Cool, I will see about going to my bird store for more information on rosellas. Thanks!
