Still struggling with incessant screeching!!!!

I have the same problem right now, I think Manny's screaming is due to anxiety. I don't think we will ever have it under control. Coming to the realisation it might be something we need to live with. He is screaming right now because my partner is walking around.
The reason isnt attention, so to speak, it is a fear that we will leave, leaving him alone. Your boy may be experiencing the same thing.

Maybe when he was at his previous home he was bonded to his owner and when he was rehomed he could've thought they abondoned him and now that he's bonded too you he's afraid of it happening again?? thats what i would think

I agree with Danny, I wouldnt say you are doing anything wrong... he is probably just afraid of being abandoned. I wish I could give you some good advice but I am in need of some myself! Manny's anxiety isnt decreasing what so ever and our ears are having trouble coping lol

I once was able to "cure" my Charlie from screaming with "Hello" conversations. A simple Hello is much more enjyoable to listen to than his constant screamings. However, repeatedly saying hello back and forth gets tiring for me! If I didn't reply to him, he'd scream then say hello again.

I don't mind when Charlie screams first thing in the morning because that's when food arrives. I'd be grumpy too, if I was hungry!

Charlie was considered the loudest in his foster home (as compared to some amazons, macaws, green cheek conures and a couple of rosellas!) and he's still the loudest here! Besides him, there are four cockatiels and a bourke parakeet. Needless to say, their presence makes no difference! Although, I do believe that if Charlie had a buddy he could get along with, he might be quieter! But then, I could end up with two noisy birds, too!
