I was curious if anyone here has ever tried sprouting seeds for their birds, I figured now that it is spring that sprouting would be beneficial for feeding my Amazon. I have read that sprouts have more nutrients that are good for them. Lately my amazon Gordo has been being a rather picky eater can't seem to get him to eat any of his chop or any of his seed. Just afraid of him losing wieght, not to mention he has been feather pulling over the winter months which is getting frustrating. Just anyone who has any experience with sprouting or have any advice would be great, I have already been watching several youtube videos on the subject. Reading up on it when i have a few spare minutes. Thanks all.
Signed, frazzled :52:brat birds mommy:30:

P.S. would the fact that its matting season have anything to do with his decreased interest in food?? I feel I have been throwing anything and any food at him that will interest his picky pallet and no go. But this morning he did eat the sprouts I started sprouting Saturday morning, so that did make me glad. Now i have to find some more interesting seeds to sprout for him to nibble on.
