Sprite hates visitors now!! Why!?

Sprite used to be SOO friendly to everyone. He'd willingly step up to strangers and let them pet him. Now he attacks any strangers...WHY!? He's never been like this.

How old is Sprite? If he is use to being out of his cage he may now look at the house as his cage/territory. As he gets older he will become protective of that. Is he out of his cage when people come? You may want to have him in his cage when company arrives for a bit. Then invite him out into the fun.
