I have a 3 year old female ecky called scarlet. a few days ago she started sneezing and her breathing is high pitched .like she has a cold.should i be worried?

It could be part of a feather caught in a nare...about three years ago my patty was playing with a down feather from my parrotlet & she was wheezing...took her to the vet & he pulled this really small down feather out...the vet told me he'd seen macaws with small seed hulls in their nares, so I guess it is more common than you'd expect.....

Anyway, I hope that's all it is.....

Thanks for your response.hope thats all it is.will it come out on its own or can only a vet take it out?

Billy gets sneezes every now and then. but he always seems fine, and eats etc.
i just assume it is a sniffle, or something got up his little nose :D xx

Chico gets sneezy if he gets water up his nose in the shower. I try not to let this happen. If it does it usually clears up in an hour.

is there any drainage from the nares? if so definitely seek vet help. little illnesses can turn into big ones if left untreated.
