Sick OWA

We love rope perches around here. Because of Kiwi's, ahem, issues with wood perches, I have 3 rope perches in his cage- a thin one maybe 3/4", medium one about 1" and thick 2" diameter one one of our members custom made, but I am not sure if she's still doing perches. You can also provide a corner platform too, which are like little pizza slice shaped shelves with bars that attach in a corner of the cage and are available in all the common cage colors plus stainless. Kiwi really likes his platform and it may not be as upsetting to them since you could get it in the same color as their cage so it blends into their known environment more than a big perch.

The lengths we go to for our fids! :D
Most "normal" people wouldn't give a rats patootie..  :p

I have one of those pizza wedge things in one of the cockatiels cage.
I have not seen one big enough for a Zon to use.
I already have a rope perch but I am using it as a way for my fids to climb up/down a tree perch. I might re-purpose it for Plumas.

Rope perches are great! Watch if they get frayed and replace. Other than that, they're awesome.

The first time I handled one was a suprize, I did not no they were stiff and able to be shaped as needed. more useful that way.

In the back corner there is the sized one Kiwi has. And I believe he is a bit bigger than most OWAs, he's never had an issue with the size (and I hang/place toys on it for him which take up room). We got his at a bird store a long time ago (we had a black cage at the time and it looked like it was part of the cage it matched so well), but I know you can find them online. I think it was around $30.

Re-using the rope perch you have to see how Plumas and his buddy react would be a good idea. If they like them, you could find some in different sizes. They also do make them in more natural colors, if brightly colored objects are particularly frightening to them. You can also try a single sandy perch to keep nails trim. Kiwi doesn't really hang out on his, but he goes over after every meal and rubs his beak down on it and has to walk across it to use his bird door to get in/out of the cage. Does a pretty good job keeping the nails/beak trim and seems like it comes naturally to him how it is intended to be used;)

That is a very generous offer, thanks. If your sure it's no trouble I can PM my address to you.
Do keep in mind (I am sure you are aware) putting it in the cage does not mean he will use it LOL.
